Work Experience

After Working at the Gordon Craig, Stevenage, Last easter (April 2014) I was asked back to be wardrobe mistress for them on there profuction of Fatal Encounter. This show consisted of 8 characters. Each character had at least two costumes. This meant that I had to source the costumes and create them. This was the first time I had been in charge of a wardribe department with no help. With my previous experience from working in wardrobe I had picked up the skills needed to be able to work this show.

Along with my work at the Gordon Craig I also volunteered with to help out with the christmas show at the Brook Theatre in Chatham, Kent. This show was an interactive show so that meant the audience was part of the performance. This meant that we had to consider health and saftey when it came to making props and costumes for the production. This show was a lot different from what i had previously worked on because it gave me a chance to put my prop and set making skills to use as well as my costume skills. I really enjoyed working on this show and gaining more knowledge in props and set making while still being able to contribute my costume skills to the show.
